Since we are reviewing this delicous album...
Our beloved crossbreed has done it again. A cd containing the very same energy as Synthetic Division, but pretty much evolved in all aspects. Short, yet sweet, like that quicky in the venue restroom, so satisfying in its own right. As we all know this is the taste of things to come, and oh how it wets the appetite, giving us everything we expected and so much more. And with such excessive goodness, we all know that the full length will be so much bigger, so much better... Even with the sporadic member list changes, Crossbreed doesnt dissapoint. There is no change, an evolution.
Music is what it should be and more. With every sound perfectly placed and well balanced out, even though its underproduced, and this adds more points to the already perfect grade. Guitars are as hard as ever, yet the technicality in some songs suggest that crossbreed is more than a industrial metal band, same with the keyboards, bass, and drums, which sets them apart from every other bands out there. The picture painted by the sound is also clear, making the album enjoyable from the beginning to the end. James' vocals have grown during this long wait, broadening the vocal equation spectrum. From singing to growling and everything in between, but not only that but everything is appropriately placed. The lyrics also has been revamped from the SD and .01, now its more meaningful yet still doesnt lose that feel of extensive meaning, another reason why crossbreed creates an ambience that no other band can and will ever match.
As i have stated, every song is enjoyable. Some more than others, like 48 grave, Push, and TBnot. My only gripe with this ep is that Artcore, Children, and Abstract were not included within the tracklist. But again this wouldnt be a demo anymore and just a full length. Ive heard that those were in the works, so full length material it is.
10/10 flawless, a perfect example of what crossbreed is and great tracks to tide us over.

Well i'm a little late to this party but I wanted the opprutunity to add my 2 cents anyway. I think the cd had to grow on me a little before i truly appreciated it. At first I was a little disheartened by 48 grave and TBnot. But my 2 favs are definitly beg for this and saints of grey. Awesome stuff here guys. I am surprised to see how everyone here seems to like diferent aspects of the album in particular. I guess that is what makes crossbreed as great as they are - there ability to appeal to different tastes within the genre that they have created and then redefined. But i digress. The fact that these 2 songs were what started and ended the CD it made it quite natural for me to just listen to the whole thing rather than skiping to the songs I liked. After about the 10th time i listened to it there really was no song i disliked just some i didn't like quite as much as others. All and all very satidfying morcel but it will not hold me over for ever - I am frustrated at not being part of the "in crowd" that lives in florida and gets to hear material live that i can only wonder about. Abstract...Children...Artcore...WHIT WEDDNING??? Oh well i guess i will just have to wait until the day the band finaly signs with a label and makes a proper cd which will probably just cause me to want more

CB talk is never too late... unless it's like the band asked a year ago what you want to happen on what would then be "tomorrow", then i guess it would be too late... anywho... yeah, i too had my favorites, but not really a "least favorite"... Push was different... I'm used to .01 Push, then bam-o we have a new one... per James, "fuck the other one" also, not everyone in FL got to hear abstract, children, or artcore... in fact only a select few have those songs in a raw mp3 format, won't give it out (period, don't ask), and don't just live in FL... white wedding was played only a couple times and i hope it's at least a "secret song" on the upcoming album... the cd, alas, i have no news for... there will, however be a newsletter that will (probably) be delivered monthly at least to street team members and hopes are that the first edition will be released in a week or two... i know, orbit, that this is not new music, but it will hopefully let us all know what is currently going on in the life and times of crossbreed. ;D i don't really mean so much to single you out, but this is in reply to your post, so eh... there you go...

Feel free to single me out i don't mind... and i have to ask Can i PLEASE get a copy of those unreleased tracks - had to ask! And a news letter would be awesome let people know whats hapening on a (hopefuly) regular basis. Probably not a bad idea to post em here either assuming that its not like street team only info. Ahwell i'll just keep hoping for that next CD but it better not be another 5 year wait!
